University of District of Columbia – LPN Program
The University of the District of Columbia offers a non degree Licensed Practical Nursing program.
The program was established in 1996 with a starting class of 26 students. The original class program was a 12 month program and since then has changed to 15 months and has night classes.
Admissions
To be admitted to the program You must take an entrance exam. If you pass the entrance exam then you go through an admissions interview. As part of the interview you will be required to prove your US residency, provide a passport, provide 3 character referenced, provide proof of CPR certification, pass a criminal background check, provide proof of vaccinations, provide GED/High school records/college records, $20, and lastly your drivers license or ID card. Once you complete this you will be notified if you pass.

Course work:
The course work consists of ~600 hours of class work and 620 hours of clinical work.
