LPN recognized as amazing humanitarian
Melissa Scott, an LPN, recieved the local Frist Humanitarian Award for being an exceptional nurse. The awards are given to personable who are recognized for showing concern for their patients above and beyond the call of duty.
Scott has been working at Terre Haute Regional Hospital for over 30 years. SHe not only takes extra care for the patients but also volunteers her off time to the community. In her volunteer roles she works with local churches and Christian music groups. Further more Scott started a program called “Angel Closet,” which provides clothing to patients during emergencies. Scott also brings a highlight to many of the patients days by running a patient karaoke sessions in the behavioral health unit.
She will be considered for a national award next!
