LPN’s work 40 hours a week or more and work on shifts, weekends and holidays since patient care is a round the clock job.  Nurse are expected to be able to stand for long periods of time, assist moving patients, assist patience standing and walking. This means that the job has a moderate amount of lifted involved.

There are many hazards involved in nursing. Some of the hazards include being exposed to infectuious diseases, chemicals, and rediation. Sometimes nurses are injured moving patients or, though rare, from elictrical shock.

It can be a very stressful job. Dealing with patients who may be angr, confused, unstable, adn irrational is not an easy task.
