The worst experience I ever had was before I was a nurse. I was working the ambulances and sometimes we had to go check on the elderly.

We were dispatched to a scene to check on this elderly man who had been acting strangely. When we arrived the police were already there and told us to be careful as it was nasty in the house. How bad could it be though? SO I opted to not wear any PPE’s.

So we enter this very dark house and the stench was awful. We were sourounded by decades old newspapers, rotting cat food, and yes… you guessed it at cats. There were at least a hundred of the furry little guys runnng around. It looked like they had been using the house as a huge cat box. The place was covered in cat shit and urine.. it was awful!

So my partner and I get o the man and try to sitpic him to the gurney and exit the house. But as I went to get the man I slipped.. landing head first in cat shit and urine. I instantly puked and had to go outside. My poor partner had to get one of the cops to help him carry the old guy as I was busy barfing.

There was a very disturbed lady in our unit for about a year that used to do the most bizzare things. She sort of shuffled around and talked to herself incoherrently most of the time. When her family came to visit she would start screaming obscenities at the younger ones. Needless to say after a few visits they didn’t bring the grandkids anymore.

The worst was she had this need to horde stuff. She would try and hide things all over the place.. in her pillow case, her hair, her clothes. This one time I had to shower her thats when I noticed something odd. From between her legs there was a napkin sticking out of her vag! Next thing you know I am pulling out pens, more napkins, and a toothbrush.  I get the charge nusrse because this is getting ridiculous and she’s starting to fight me.

Five nurses have to be called to take care of the matter ( four pinning the fifth performing the mining operation ). The worst was what I can only guess was once a the baloney sandwich… yech.
